Currently, these beds have only been exclusively presented on Qatar flights from London to Doha.
It is reported that Qatar passengers flying from London Heathrow on the Boeing 777 service have the luxury of removing a privacy screen between seats in order to configure a double bed.
Groups can also utilise this space by removing the privacy panels to create a private area in which they can work, dine or socialise in.
This new section of the Qatar Airways business class is known as ‘Qsuite’ and these cabins have so far been very highly praised.
Jonathan Harding, senior vice president of Qatar Airways in Europe’, coin Qsuite as being a “first class product in business class”.
"We have the first double bed in the sky so people travelling together are able to avail themselves of that”,
‘If you’re travelling by yourself you get privacy, particularly in one of our window seats, but our quads can be configured in a way that is very flexible and comfortable,’ he added.
Aviation analyst Alex Machera said that the introduction of the cabins makes Qatar “the best business class in the skies today”. Further commenting on Qsuite, he described the bed as being “very comfortable” and being accompanied by “beautiful on-board décor and furnishings”.
It is anticipated that the Qsuite will be shortly be introduced on Qatar flights to New York and Paris.
