Great Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expecting third child

As a result of being too ill to attend a public event, the 35-year old Duchess was forced to openly convey the news that she is less than 12 weeks pregnant. The royal is currently being attended to at Kensington Palace based in London.

In terms of Catherine’s condition, it has been reported that she is currently enduring severe morning sickness. The Duchess herself was known to be in a similar state with her two previous pregnancies.

The expected child will become a sibling to 4-year old Prince George and 2-year old Princess Charlotte. He or she is also anticipated to be the fifth in line to the throne behind their siblings.

The news of the third child has also been announced at a pivotal time in Prince George’s life, who is going to the school for the first time this week.

In speaking about the news of her upcoming great-grandchild, the Queen of England is said to be “delighted” about the new addition to the family. About to become an uncle for third time, Prince Harry said that he was feeling “fantastic” and “very, very happy”.

The first hint that a new royal baby was on the way was given six weeks ago, when the Duke and Duchess were on holiday in Poland. During this trip, Catherine was offered a cuddly toy which is specifically designed for new-born babies. Already being in the early stages of her pregnancy at the time, it is reported that the Duchess turned to the Duke and made a humorous remark by saying: “We will just have to have more babies”.

With regards to the anticipated name of the child, UK bookmaker William Hill predicts that if the baby is a girl, Alice would be a probable name - alongside Elizabeth and Victoria.

As for a baby boy; odds predict that James, Arthur and Phillip would be suitable names.
