Born to a Sri Lankan couple domiciled in Seychelles, Thanuwana has been an avid reader. His interest to learn, enabled him to get the ability to write alphabets of 7 different languages even before he started kindergarten.At present he is enrolled at the International School in Victoria and pursuing his studies as a grade 2 student. It is reported that he has shown brilliance in his studies at the school. His father, Mr.Thusitha Serasinghe serves as the Director Hotel Technology of the Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove (Marriott International) Hotel.
Master Thanuwana launched this book and presented copies to His Excellency Vincent Meritone, the Vice President of Seychelles and His Excellency Tikiri Herath Gunathilake, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Seychelles at a glittering cultural event organized with the assistance of the Dancing Troupe headed by Senior Professor Ariyaratne Kaluarachchi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Sri Lanka along with artists from the same university, who were there to perform at the Sri Lanka Independence day celebrations. This event took place parallel to the commemoration of the Sri Lanka Independence Day on the 04th February, 2017 at the ICCS Convention Centre.
A felicitation ceremony to honor this young Sri Lankan hero is scheduled to be held on 24th November, 2017 at the Sri Lanka High Commission at 05.00pm. This is organized by the Sri Lanka High Commission in Seychelles. A galaxy of leading personalities are invited for this event.
