The SLFP has decided to contest all future elections under its symbol in order to endorse the five great forces of its founding leader S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, according to a decision taken by president Maithripala Sirisena.
Meanwhile, the SLFP is to form alliances to contest selected LG bodies. The related MoUs are due to be signed in the coming week. Therefore, the SLFP is more likely to contest Nuwara Eliya and Batticaloa under a common alliance.
