The IGP has deployed the CID, CCD and Nikaweratiya police to investigate the killing, but none has arrested this monk. That shows the strength of the protection he is getting.
He has sent messages to CCD director Nishantha Soyza through his friends seeking assistance to obtain anticipatory bail. But, Soyza has refused and informed the IGP and other top officials.
