COLOMBO (News 1st) – A police officer was convicted by the Colombo High Court and sentenced to one year of rigorous imprisonment for giving false evidence in a heroin case. This was confirmed to News 1st by State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne, the Coordinating Officer to the Attorney General.
