SPC seeks nod to import Russian COVID-19 vaccine

COLOMBO (News1st): The State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC) has sought permission to import Russia’s “Sputnik V” COVID-19 vaccine. A National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) expert committee is studying the request, its chief executive officer Dr Kamal Jayasinghe said. He added that a time frame to import the vaccine is yet to be decided.
