Colombo (News 1st); Flash floods were reported in Akurana in the Kandy District, announced the Disaster Management Centre on Wednesday (06). People traveling from Kandy to Matale are urged to use alternative routes via Waththegama, added the DMC. Pradeep Kodippilli from the Disaster Management Centre reported that Kandy is experiencing heavy rainfall.
